dear mpls,

i am back in madrid after adventures in casablanca, rabat, tangier, and assilah. i have stories like you wouldn´t believe. and something like 150 photos.

i´ll have you know that i miss you something awful and am looking forward to coming back to my bike that i´ve missed much more than i thought i would along with all of my vixens, kittens, and a cute boy.

i´ll eat some churros con chocolate for you before i leave.

in keeping with theme,

let's recap this past week before the new one starts (as my weeks start on friday as all good weeks should...):

- 5 early mornings for work that almost killed me.

- 4 shots of jameson last night.

- 3 late night dance parties.

- 2 birthday parties in 7 days (3 in 8). how old did they turn, you ask? 21. each and every one of them.

-1 amazing picnic at calhoun with some of my favorite people.

you guys, what is my life? i certainly don't have an answer for that one, but i'm pretty sure the closest i'll come to an answer is a large grin.

this week is going to have to be pretty epic to stay in bounds with current goings-ons. we're dancing our asses off at the honeymoon anniversary on friday. we're going to see military special at the hexagon on saturday. we're biking to nokomis on sunday. we're picnicing at loring for movies in the park on monday. we're going to the pizza farm on tuesday.

how long can i keep this fever pitch up?

.so...my first post.

So I know it's Tuesday (and not the proper day to recap the weekend) but I think this past weekend deserves a recap.

I know that I've been watching a certain someone turn to mush over a boy...and I know I finally got to meet him this weekend. As a very wise woman told you already...the only thing is...he's young; but you already knew that. You did know that...so have fun with it! The young have more stamina.

I also know that I got to partake in a lovely picnic on Sunday night after Bastille...ladies...thank you for making it so enjoyable!

And finally...I know I'm having too much fun with too many boys...and too much frustration with another. Let the games begin.

dear vixens:

sorry i've been so absent lately, class is taking over my life. i miss you. can we make some epic 4th of july plans? grilling/drinking/bike rides/fireworks?

also, if you're free the night of the 3rd (tomorrow, that is), i would highly suggest making your way over to the turf club. i'll be playing with my friends' band and the moon goons will be doin' what they do best. i'm hoping it'll turn into a dance party, minus tml's dudes and biddies. mop, i think you're already coming. awesome.

again: weekend plans. let's make it happen.

ashley got to have my happy dumb cat sit on her lap while she went to the bathroom at my house the other day...thanks for being a good sport!

pontoon soon in white bear girls?

'biddies' introduced into chicago lingo by yours truly.

i thought i might keep you updated while i'm in chicago. the city is gorgeous in summer, and the neighborhood my friend lives in is green, shady and quiet.

after my i was done working for the day i met up with laura, melissa and jamie and we walked to a park where laura and melissa play in their kickball league! (i'm not into group sports, but that sounds like something that minneapolis is lacking)
we ended up at carol's bar after the game...the country western dive bar that sponsors the teams. i'm not exaggerating when i say this place makes lyle's look like the ritz. laura ended up hitting it off with one of her teammates and i left her at the bar. this morning she had to wear a scarf to work due to the extreme hickies on her neck. who gives hickies anymore?

today there will be a picnic on the beach and possibly some shopping...

the best laid plans...

yes, its true, they often go awry - but, not two weekends in a row.

i propose a trip to the sea salt eatery this saturday that involves some sunning in the park, as well. this is to be followed by a brief respite and dancing/revelry at too much love or the like. if you are going to rock the garden, you are exempted from the first half. if you are on a business trip to chicago, you are exempted from it all. also, a contingent will be tubing on sunday with a friend from out of town; all are invited.

in defense of this weekend past, i have to say it was pretty amazing. the red stag block party was a riot (esp. holding the tent down while everyone else ran for cover and everything else blew away). a couple of us made it to too much love and danced our asses off and i had a pretty epic late night bike ride fueled by caffeine and indecision.

just a friendly reminder to everyone about the city girl yardsale on june 29th at 4:00.  i know some of you are busy, but the rest of you should bring friends and plan on a little shindig.
